📜 History
Ojo has historically been a strategic military and maritime location. The British colonial authorities established a military base here in the early 20th century that grew into the present-day Nigerian Army cantonment. After independence, Ojo emerged as a significant educational centre with LASU establishing its main campus along the expressway. The area's coastline has been used for fishing for centuries by the indigenous Awori communities.
