📜 History
Oshodi developed as a major transport junction from the early 20th century due to its position along key road and rail arteries. The Oshodi Market grew organically as traders exploited the area's transit character. Isolo Industrial Estate was developed by the Lagos State Government in the 1970s as part of an industrialisation drive. The LGA was formally created in 1991. The BRT expansion and road rehabilitation under Governor Fashola in the late 2000s dramatically transformed Oshodi's urban character.
